Aly's Dream Polish- Copper, Coral Red, Firebrick, Gold, Gold Tinged Holo

Hey friends! I realized I forgot Coral Red in my last order (which completed my collection of all Aly's reds in the Holo Euphoria Collection). Somehow when I ordered it, I ended up ordering a few other colors too...
So here you have it. A few more Aly's swatches for your week.

First up is Copper. I've noticed a trend with the "metal" colors. Aly added a special flashy, smooth, big shimmer that corresponds to the color. While these pictures don't show it off at all, you will have to trust me on this. It's very beautiful, and I honestly hope she makes more colors with this magic dust in it!
Copper is the color of a slightly dulled penny. It doesn't quite have as much pink tone as brand new copper, but more like a well-loved penny, with more brown tones.

Coral Red is a slightly muted orang-ish red with the slightest pink tint. The indoor pictures make it look more pink than it really is in person.

Firebrick is really a lot more stunning than I originally gave it credit for. The exact color is rather hard to explain. It's almost as if a pink-tinted red and brown were mixed together and muted a bit.

Gold has that same flash/shimmer fantasical stuff in it. More of a muted yellow, this polish is rather bright. The indoor pictures were all taken under the same lighting within seconds of each other, but my camera went kooky with this color, so some color variation happened. The yellow is definitely on the warmer side than cooler.

Last color of this post is probably my favorite of the five. When I first saw the color in the bottle, it almost looked like it had a sage tint to it. Once I put it on, I saw it was this beautiful soft, very light warm gold tinted holo- hence the name :)

Which is your favorite? Are you brave enough to try these metal shades? Tell me in the comments below! Thanks again for all your support!

Enchanted Polish "Hot Chocolate" Review (PIC HEAVY)

Recently, a wonderful group I am a part of on Facebook introduced me to the wonderful Enchanted Polish. These beauties are apparently hard to obtain, but I managed to get my hands on a few! The first color I wanted to review is named "Hot Chocolate". This stunner is a warm cocoa (pardon the pun) brown with a sharp holographic shimmer.

Here are a few pictures of the bottle in natural light to show the true color and holographic shine:

The polish was very easy to apply. The first coat created an uneven, scattered look to the holographic pigment, but by the second coat everything evened out.

If you'd like to see a comparison between Hot Chocolate and Aly's Dream Polish "Browncoats", please review my earlier posts.

Quick Comparison: Aly's Dream Polish "Browncoats" and Enchanted "Hot Chocolate" (PIC HEAVY)

What's not to love about a rich brown holo? I have two stunners to compare today, both are beautiful for their own reasons! I'll let you choose your favorite (or you might choose both, like I did!)
Here's Aly's Dream Polish "Browncoats"

Here's Enchanted "Hot Chocolate"

And here are the two swatches side by side:
Browncoats on left, Hot Chocolate on right

I feel that besides the shade difference, Browncoats has a softer, more well-rounded look; while Hot Chocolate has a stronger holo. Each need about two coats for opacity, and they both apply easily.

Which one is your favorite?

*I am not affliliated with either polish brand. My opinions are my own.

Aly's Dream Polish Ballad of Serenity (partial) Collection Review (PIC HEAVY)

"Aly" recently released a new collection inspired by the TV Series "Firefly" and the movie "Serenity". If you haven't seen either, I strongly suggest checking them out! I believe both are currently on Netflix. Go check them out now! I'll wait.
...
Welcome back! Isn't it so good? Welcome to my nerdy world! ...

...Anyway. I am missing three polishes from this collection- Reavers, Companion, and Inevitable Betrayal. I strongly suggest taking a look at them on her site. Also, I ask an apology in advance for the less-than-quality pictures. I had so many requests for swatches and so little daylight left. Hopefully I will update these pictures ASAP.
First up is Browncoats. This polish is very similar to those you will find in her Holographic Euphoria collection. It applies very evenly and is nearly opaque in two coats. The result is a lovely rich chocolate brown.

This is my husband's favorite polish of mine. Yes, he has a favorite. No, please don't tell him I told you.

Next is a fun polish mix named "The 'verse". I can definitely see the resemblance. I only used one coat in the following pictures, but I would suggest two for optimum appeal. Although the glitter had sunk to one side of the bottle when it arrived, a few slow turns of the bottle helped re-mix everything together. I felt the glitter also spread evenly without effort. The base is a dark brown, almost black. There are various sizes of highly holographic hex glitters mixed throughout, as well as some black hex.

Honestly, these pictures do not do these polishes justice. They are far more holographic than they seem.

Third is a topcoat glitter named "Cap'n Tightpants". You cannot make fun of this name until you have seen the show. Seriously. If you've already watched it, watch it again. It's fantastic. This polish is a mix of purple hex and holographic black hex glitters, and it is quite stunning. I used one coat for the pictures below, and honestly, they don't do this beauty justice. The holo is magnificent.

The last polish on my list, Invite Diamond, is my personal favorite from this collection. There are SO many shapes, sizes, and strengths of holographic glitter in this topcoat, it's practically blinding. I've added extra pictures in this set in hopes I can give you a better glimpse of the craziness going on here. I also highly recommend this polish for those that hate glitter polishes because they snag. This polish goes on so smooth you don't even need a topcoat. How amazing is that?!

I can't say enough good about this collection. You can purchase all the polishes separately, or in two sets, as full coverage polishes and as topcoats. There is also a holographic powder included in the topcoat set that I did not picture. It can be used with your polish, or mixed in body lotion, etc for a night out on the town! You can purchase all these polishes and more in Aly's store here:

Have fun shopping everyone!
