Aly's Dream Polish- Copper, Coral Red, Firebrick, Gold, Gold Tinged Holo

Hey friends! I realized I forgot Coral Red in my last order (which completed my collection of all Aly's reds in the Holo Euphoria Collection). Somehow when I ordered it, I ended up ordering a few other colors too...
So here you have it. A few more Aly's swatches for your week.

First up is Copper. I've noticed a trend with the "metal" colors. Aly added a special flashy, smooth, big shimmer that corresponds to the color. While these pictures don't show it off at all, you will have to trust me on this. It's very beautiful, and I honestly hope she makes more colors with this magic dust in it!
Copper is the color of a slightly dulled penny. It doesn't quite have as much pink tone as brand new copper, but more like a well-loved penny, with more brown tones.

Coral Red is a slightly muted orang-ish red with the slightest pink tint. The indoor pictures make it look more pink than it really is in person.

Firebrick is really a lot more stunning than I originally gave it credit for. The exact color is rather hard to explain. It's almost as if a pink-tinted red and brown were mixed together and muted a bit.

Gold has that same flash/shimmer fantasical stuff in it. More of a muted yellow, this polish is rather bright. The indoor pictures were all taken under the same lighting within seconds of each other, but my camera went kooky with this color, so some color variation happened. The yellow is definitely on the warmer side than cooler.

Last color of this post is probably my favorite of the five. When I first saw the color in the bottle, it almost looked like it had a sage tint to it. Once I put it on, I saw it was this beautiful soft, very light warm gold tinted holo- hence the name :)

Which is your favorite? Are you brave enough to try these metal shades? Tell me in the comments below! Thanks again for all your support!

Lucky 13 Lacquer "Dixon Hill: Private Investigator" and "Cliffs of Heaven"

Well hey there viewers!
I can't believe it, but this actually the first time I have reviewed this brand!
I thought I should explain the irony here. First of all, I really love this brand, and the maker behind it. She's super fun and sweet! Second, I have had several of her polishes for a while, and although I took pictures for review, they somehow never made it to the blog (sad day). Third and most important reason: I am a triskaidekaphiliac. If I had chosen a name for my polish brand, it would be the same. Right now I'm working on a collection of 13 L13L's (another shock that I don't own that many already!), and obviously my next goal following that will be owning 26 of her beauties...
ANYWAY...
I'm rambling.
The two colors I have to show you today are from her Star Trek collection, which is still relatively new.
Little did you know, I grew up a Trekkie. Although I'm ashamed to admit it's been years seen I've watched most of the series.

Soooo, first up is Dixon Hill: Private Investigator. This nude polish is a very soft, silky, tan-leaning creme base with a very soft, velvety holo.
It took me three thin coats to accomplish this look, and as is my signature, no undies or tops here.

Indoor blue light:
Outdoor sunlight:

While the holo is a lot more subtle, it's actually stronger than the pictures let on. No surprise there, right?
Opacity: 1.75
Application: 4.5 (the second coat I did was thin, and thus probably caused the streaky-ness)
Wear: UNK
Removal: 4.75 (just a little sticky)

The other shade I have today is Cliffs of Heaven. This is a slightly muted turquoise holo.
As many of you know, I love my "aquoises". (<---I'm coining this word. A combination of the words 'aquamarine' and 'turquoise', it means 'any shade between blue and green'). It seemed only appropriate own the first aquoise holo from one of my favorite brands.

Indoor blue light:
Outdoor sunlight:

All stats for this shade are identical to that listed for Dixon Hill above.

I am really in love with the depth that these colors have. They almost have that liquid look that jellies have, but once built, they appear as cremes. I might go so far as to call them crellies, but there's just something about the depth that doesn't fit any one description.

My last bit is a tip if you want the holo to show more: Paint one more thin coat than you would otherwise. Let everything dry, then very lightly and quickly swipe a bit of nail polish remover over the top using a cotton ball. You can even add a non-dulling top coat if the finished product doesn't look smooth enough...
...now that I think about it, I should probably do a tutorial post to better explain this...
I guess that means you'll hear from me again soon!
XOXO- H.i.H.

Aly's Dream Polish Reviews PART 1 (Salmon, Unbleached, Powder Blue, Berry Fog, Prussian Purple) [SUPER PIC HEAVY]

MY GOODNESS, where do I even start with this post? I guess where we left off last. Here's the news you have all been waiting for: Aly's Dream Polish is re-opening. YES, you heard me. You CAN BUY Aly's again! HALLELUJAH. Her store opens tomorrow (November 6). There is no specific time, and it's pre-orders only. This means there is no limit to the number of polishes you can order, and the order of orders placed is the order they will ship. There is no rush, because she will leave the shop open for one week. So order whenever you're free! No need to set alarms on your phone or take "bathroom breaks" at work :)
Second subject: I am now technically affiliated wi
th Aly's Dream Polish. It's mostly advertising, testing, and PR, but I thought I would let you gals know. I will still try to bring you the most honest and objective reviews I can :)
Now, onto the good stuff. The SWATCHES!
All swatches are two coats, no base or topper. Application, wear, and removal are all rated 5.
PART 2 can be found HERE.
PART 3 can be found HERE.

Melon, a slightly pink, mostly orange tinted nude holo.
Opacity: 2.75

Unbleached. Think the color of wheat. A soft gold-tan holo.
Opacity: 2.5

Powder Blue is a soft, light turquoise holo. I would be daring to call this Tiffanytea's cousin.
Opacity: 2.5

Berry Fog is a soft pinky lavender holo full of depth.
Opacity: 3

Prussian Purple is a cool lavender holo.
Opacity: 2.75

I am on a time crunch because of the restock, and Pinterest puts a limit on the number of pins pinned at one time, so I will be a few days getting all of these pictures there. However, there should be at least one of each color here.
